New business and customer management:

  • Sourcing, promoting and generating business prospects with coverage throughout Nigeria and Africa;
  • Act as the point of contact for existing and potential Myrtle customers;
  • Procuring new business, developing business prospects, closing deals, managing relationships with external contacts including customers, consultants and suppliers

Development of new prospects:

  • Research, prepare and submit concept notes, solicited and unsolicited project proposals, public and private expressions of interest (EOI), calls for proposals (RFP), competitive tenders while ensuring submitted proposals and bids are fully compliant and all required documentation contain

New project development:

  • Receiving, evaluating and dealing appropriately with anticipated project correspondence (mail and emails), including an element of autonomous decision-making based on Myrtle’s normal practice
  • Responsible for follow-up requests and requests for information related to project development work in a timely, efficient and effective manner.
  • Define, articulate, and submit technical and financial proposals based on a working budget, cost of professionals, and third-party spending on potential projects.
  • Negotiate, agree and close the financial aspects of engagements based on standard Myrtle charge rates.
  • Responsible for all aspects of mobilizing the new project team with oversight of financial records related to spending.
  • Prepare presentations for future projects using Word, PowerPoint and Excel project organization and management.
  • Research, design and produce high quality project deliverables: Project Initiation Report (PIR), Assessment Report, Gap Analysis, Outline Strategic Business Case (OSBC), Investment Memorandum (IM), Training Plan, Business Process Manual (BPM), Financial Model, etc. based on specific requests from clients.

Administration:

  • overseeing and managing administrative aspects of Myrtle project work through oversight and line management of consultants and support staff; Setting deadlines, guidance in compiling and compiling information needed for reports, preparing and producing reports, guidance in conducting library and Internet-based research, and creating PowerPoint presentations
  • Plan and organize project functions including liaison with Myrtle employees (internal), customers, suppliers, consultants and other stakeholders (external) as appropriate.
  • manage clients and external consultants; Building and strengthening customer relationships with a focus on excellence.
  • Organizing project team meetings and conference calls; participate in and prepare meeting minutes, agendas and relevant documents; ensure documents are distributed in a timely manner; Ensure issues and risks are escalated promptly

qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Essential:

  • First degree (First Class or Second Class Upper Division) from a reputable university with verifiable academic achievements
  • Strong analytical skills with at least 2 years of experience
  • Good knowledge of English with a confident command of the language giving strong (public) presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills; a good team player. Must have pleasant telephone and good email etiquette
  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook), etc.)
  • Confident and assertive person

Significant

  • Completed university degree (possibly also postgraduate degree) in a relevant subject,
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent all-round IT skills;
  • Proven organizational skills, working calmly and logically to complete tasks within set deadlines;
  • Excellent skills in data collection, management and analysis;
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment with multiple colleagues, peers and external clients; and ·
  • A methodical and rigorous approach with a high level of attention to detail;
