World Trade Centers Association Focuses on Business Opportunities in Africa at its 2022 General Assembly “Exploring New Horizons”

Artificial Intelligence powered matchmaking platform to re-energize global B2B networking during 100% virtual business conference

NEW YORK, April 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The World Trade Center Association® (WTCA®) – an international trade organization connecting more than 300 World Trade Center® (WTC®) locations in nearly 100 countries – will host its annual WTCA General Assembly 2022 (GA) with focus on business opportunities in Africa. This year’s event will again be free and held virtually using an Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered B2B matchmaking platform to maximize the time spent building business connections between attendees around the world. Organized by the WTCA team in new Yorkthe business conference will be held by Monday, April 18th to Friday, April 22nd.

The GA will bring together WTCA members and their global business networks, comprised of leaders from business, government, academia, media and international organizations, reflecting the WTCA’s diverse global footprint. With the theme “Exploring New Horizons”, the 2022 General Assembly promises to be a unique and engaging week-long event, demonstrating the strength of the WTCA network and offering attendees the opportunity to learn from leading experts and network with one another virtually through matchmaking- Platform.

This year’s GA will feature two half-days of livestream programming, beginning on April 19th with WTCA members-only programs to provide updates from the WTCA Board of Directors and senior management, as well as the nine Member Advisory Councils (MACs) for Agriculture, Business Clubs, Conferences & Exhibitions, Real Estate and Trade Services. At 20th of Aprilthe final day of the GA’s Mainstage program – open to all attendees – will include a keynote address Atsuko Toda, Acting Vice President for Agriculture, Human and Social Development, African Development Bank; a fireside chat with Soji Awogbade, Partner and Head of International Trade, Energy & Natural Resources and Agriculture Practice Groups at ǼLEX, on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA); and a panel discussion on doing business in Africa with WTCA members AlgeriaIvory Coast, Ghana, Mauritius and Nigeria. The day will conclude with the kick-off to the 2023 General Assembly. The live stream program is open to all attendees unless otherwise noted for “WTCA Members” and will be hosted in English with simultaneous translation into French and Spanish.
