How to bet on the 2022 Grand National: online, app, in shop or on course | Horse Racing News

It’s Randox Grand National Day and as always, the world’s most famous jump race is looking feverish. There are 40 runners to keep an eye on and if you fancy a bet on the race there are a number of different ways to place your bet.

5.15 Aintree Saturday: Randox Grand National Racecard and Betting

Your first stop has to be studying the form and luckily the Racing Post has provided you with all the details on each horse, trainer, jockey and even pedigree. You can also place your bet directly with your bookmaker via the race card.

This is available if you are a customer of bet365, Sky Bet, William Hill, Paddy Power, Ladbrokes, Betfair, Coral, BoyleSports, BetVictor, SportingBet 888Sport and Tote. All you have to do is select your bookmaker at the top and right side of the race map and then place your bet without having to go anywhere.

You can also deposit into your existing accounts using debit cards, credit cards and PayPal (at some bookmakers).

If you don’t have an account, you can also sign up for one through the Racing Post website and benefit from free offers. Check out the different offers here.

You can also bet on the bookmaker’s website and given the popularity of the National it shouldn’t be too difficult to find the market on their respective homepage. It is also recommended to be aware of the various safer gambling settings available.

Do you have the Racing Post app? If not, you can download it for free here or in the Apple Store or Google Play Store.

It’s just as easy to bet via the Racing Post app as it is online. On the far right tab, choose your chosen bookmaker and log in.

It’s easy to find the Grand National Card and everything you need to know for the race. Just select Maps, Big Races and Randox Grand National. When the race is over you can also watch it live via the mobile app.

You can also take advantage of free bet offers on the app by simply selecting the bookmaker’s logo in circles at the bottom of the screen.

Elsewhere, most bookmakers have apps that can be downloaded from the Apple Store or Google Play Store. These should also include easily accessible safer gambling settings.

betting shops

You can go to the bookmaker to place your bets for the 2022 Grand National. A quick Google search should help you find the store closest to you, and the staff should be able to walk you through the process of placing your bets. Here you can bet by debit or credit card or with cash.

Shops were closed for the National last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but this time they are armed and well-prepared for their busiest day of the year.

On course

If you’re lucky enough to be at Aintree – or any other racing event – on Grand National Day, you’ll have the opportunity to place your bets the old-fashioned way.

Most bookmakers on the course, even on other routes, take bets on the Grand National throughout the day. Some display the odds on a separate board so you can see the available prizes.

If you’re early betting make sure you want a bet on the Grand National, otherwise simply tell the bookmaker your chosen stake, whether it’s a win-only or each-way bet, and the name or the number of the horse. Each bookmaker is different, but most will accept credit or debit cards and cash.

The bookmaker will give you your bet slip and it’s worth checking to make sure it’s correct. Then hopefully you can return it after the race for winnings.
